New to drones?

If you’ve never flown a drone before — or you’ve tried and found the whole thing more confusing than it should be — this site is for you. We cover everything drones for beginners need to know: which models are actually worth buying, how to fly a drone safely, and how to avoid the mistakes most new pilots make. No experience required.

What we actually do

We research drones so you don’t have to spend hours doing it yourself. That means building out honest drone buying guides, digging through customer reviews, testing popular models, and talking to real pilots about what holds up and what doesn’t.

Whether you’re looking for the best beginner drone for casual flying, a drone for beginners with camera capabilities for vacation footage, or just trying to figure out the easiest drone to fly for beginners without breaking the bank — we’ve done the legwork. We update our picks regularly, so our guides for the best drones for beginners in 2025 reflect what’s actually available and worth buying right now.

How we write

Plain English, no unnecessary jargon. If we can’t explain something simply, we probably need to understand it better ourselves. We’ll always mention safety and regulations because that stuff matters, even if it’s not the fun part.

Who this is for

Anyone curious about drones who doesn’t know where to start — whether that’s basic flying or eventually getting into drone photography. You don’t need a technical background, just an interest in learning.
